Charming hotel renovated in an old-fashioned style. Service minded staff that speak several languages. Good breakfast.
The family rooms are practical and good value for money if you're more than two people, but the beds are uncomfortable and the pillows lumpy. In the summer they can also get pretty hot as they are on the top floor. A fan is provided, but there's no AC and you can't leave the roof windows open if it's raining.
The restaurant is beautiful and relatively inexpensive for Norway. The ravioli was excellent, while the salmon was quite bland.
This is a nice place to spend a night in if you're traveling between east and west of Norway. Much more charming than a chain hotel, but with less amenities and comfort. More
