“Nice spacious apartment in a great family friendly location”
Reviewed 31 January 2017 for a stay in January 2017

Just returned from a great week staying in this spacious apartment which is part of Les Chalets de Wengen complex. A fantastic location close to the shops, restaurants and lifts in Les Coches which is small but had everything we needed for a family break. There were 7 of us - 4 adults, two children and an older teen and there was plenty of room for us although when we booked there were only 6 of us and the additional (teen) slept in the mezzanine sleeping area which is really more suitable for small children due to the low sloping roof. Really nice bathrooms with the bonus of both having baths which is great for a soak after a day on the slopes and plenty of hot water & two separate toilets - our only small gripe was neither of these had windows or fans, but this seems to be a common theme in France.
The apartment has a nice airy feel due to the high ceiling/mezzanine design and the kitchen is really well equipped so you can actually cook proper meals which is not always the case in self-catering accommodation as we have found out in the past. Also nice to have washing up liquid and a few bits & pieces + 2 good hairdryers in the apartment.
We only use the pool once as it's quite small and was really busy after the slopes close but I'm sure it was probably nice and quiet during the day. We did book the sauna once and there was a small fee of 5 euros per person for this.
Lots of games, books, DVD's in the apartment which is a nice touch and my boys loved the X-Box.
All in all a really nice apartment in a good location.
We booked a transfer with Mountain Rescue who were really efficient and I would also recommend. We booked lessons from Evolution2 who were excellent for both kids and adults and hired our equipment from SkiSet online & who were also excellent and offer free equipment storage which was really handy.

“Great base for a family holiday - would love to return!”
Reviewed 11 April 2016 for a stay in March 2016

Stayed in Les Coches with friends in mid March. The chalet was great - clean and comfortable and more than adequate for our two families (4 adults & 4 early teenagers) We loved the morning views before heading out the slopes, which are only a short walk away. The village itself is quiet but very friendly with a couple of lovely restaurants and all the shops you need. We had great weather, great snow and more than enough slopes for our mixed ability group. Unfortunately one of our teens had a fall but was looked after very well and efficiently and we were glad of the in-chalet entertainment. All in all a great base for a family ski holiday! Thanks Kate!

“Best holiday yet”
Reviewed 20 January 2015 for a stay in January 2015

We have just returned after spending the week skiing. We had a amazing time. The chalet is beautiful. Excellant location, with amazing views. The swimming pool is a stones throw, which was great for the days we had the energy left to go swimming.

Kate the owner was more than helpfull, giving us information and advise to aid us making an fantastic holiday. She was very quick when replying to mails and text.

There was ten in our party which included 3 children and we all fitted in nicely.

We arranged private transport through mountain rescue and did a supermarket shop on route (supermarket near airport) which saved soooo much money. The chalet was so comfortable, after a busy day skiing we were all happy to cook, eat and stay in, in the evenings.

We got our lessons from evolution 2 (kids and adults). They also arranged lift passes. They were great and the instructors were fantastic.

We will definanitly be returning next year.

“Fantastic apartment and ski holiday!”
Reviewed 1 February 2014 for a stay in January 2014

We stayed here mid January with my family and my sisters family with 4 children between us aged between 1 and 8. The apartment was fantastic, great facilities and so much room which I wasn't expecting having spent previous holidays in catered chalets. The children loved the x box, DVD's and all the games, the kitchen was well equipped to enable us to prepare meals when we ate in and best of all the pool and spa facilities where we headed every day after a day on the slopes. We ate out a few times at the pizza restaurant next to the ski rental shop and all meals we had there were very good and reasonably priced. Our children had ski lessons with Evolution 2 which I would definitely recommend they seem a bit more relaxed with ESF. We travelled all the way from Cumbria to Landry (the nearest station) by train which was a fantastic experience and very reasonable when booking 13 weeks in advance. It is only a 10 minute transfer from the station to the apartment. I think we will be definitely booking this apartment again next year, Les Coches is a lovely resort with great access to all the pistes.

“Well priced, Fantastic apartment in a great location.”
Reviewed 20 January 2014 for a stay in January 2014

We've just spent a week snowboarding at Les Coches. This location is superb for access to both La Plagne & Les Arc ski areas. The pool was greatly needed after a day on the slopes and was generally quiet. We hope to visit again and will recommend it to our friends. Thanks again.
