We enjoyed aspects of our stay but we wouldn't go back. As others have mentioned, all the entertainment is in French. They put English songs on during aqua aerobics mid morning, with a kids club sitting just outside the fence and my 4 and 6 year old swimming in the pool where the F word was featured regularly. By the fourth song where there was repeated 'Mother F&%*....', I interrupted the class and asked them to change the music. Unfortunately I don't speak French so couldn't ask in French so I probably looked like a raving lunatic interrupting the class, but it really was not ok. The instructor tried to dismiss me but I didn't back down and the other instructor eventually looked through the playlist before coming up with just music with no lyrics - it would seem every song he had on his playlist wasn't appropriate. I can't understand how any family campsite, no matter where in the world they were based or what language was spoken, this kind of music would be even remotely seen as acceptable at that time of day with kids around.

We booked a BBQ for the week (the size of a frying pan so really shouldn't have bothered) and then had to fight to get our 40Euro deposit back at the end. They had no record of collecting our cash for the BBQ but clearly would have never given the BBQ to us without us paying the deposit. They argued that it must have been on our card but couldn't show us records of this (because it definitely wasn't). It wasted 40 minutes of our last morning there and left us feeling pretty sour when we left.

In addition, you're expected to clean the caravans to the standard where they're acceptable for the next guests. The notice in the caravan says that they don't employ cleaners and if you want your 150Euro deposit back you need to do the following extensive list of things....including defrosting the freezer and scrubbing the bathroom. The gas had broken down on us so we had no hot water the last morning so spent time dealing with that the morning of check out and then had to go about cleaning the caravan with cold water. I go on holiday to get away from cleaning...of course I expect to leave the place in good order - dishes done, floor swept etc but not scrubbing the shower and mopping the floor. I should have read the fine print I guess (although still haven't been able to see anywhere that states the cleaning required to this extent) but a warning to others if you haven't also. We booked through Vacansoleil so may be different for other companies.

Our kids loved the slides but the water was cold so couldn't stay in there for long.

The beach was only 2.5km away and was stunning. Great rock pools for the kids to explore and surf for them to boogey board in.

Highly recommend the restaurant around the corner - turn right out of campsite and right again and it's the orange building across the way (less than 5 minute walk). Much friendlier and more welcoming than the campsite and Mikey serves up a great steak and mussels (the only things on his menu). Very accommodating and had a great night there!

Room tip: Noisy round the pool and restaurant/playground area - try and get a caravan at the back if you want quiet.

Just back from La Loubine campsite after 2 weeks there as a family of five. The campsite is a strong 3 stars, certainly not 4 star.
There are a few maintance uses that need to be addressed such as a few loose tiles by the pool, and far too many cigarette butts near our mobile. We had a couple of issues with ours, the bathroom window refused to open and we told the office a couple of times and it still wasn't fixed the day we left. Being a bathroom window it's the one that needed to be opened!! Also no wine glasses, which we bought as it was just easier.
The site has got great potential but so many private owners stay there, which is fine but then you have family and friends calling over and they just seem to take up the space. A lot of teenagers there, I saw the lifeguard on two occasions asking them to leave, so I think security in the day is needed also. The entertainment was in French every evening, no attempt to cater for any English speaking customers!!
The kids enjoyed their stay, but we won't be going back again.

Just back from 2 weeks, a good site with great potential. All facilities on site but could do with a little more maintainance- a few loose tiles in pool and weeds around the site. Well located with 3 big supermarkets 5 mins away and the beach 3 minutes away. Entertainment is all in French with zero effort to use English which is a pity as most other sites do combine- so there was a distinct them and us feel at night, probabally not helped by the fact that there is a lot of owners on site who hung out together, which they are fully entitled to do, but maybe the camp woauld be better off for owners only.
Some issues with older kids behavoir and little things going missing put a dampner on things for us so would not go back to the particular site again. The area was great with lovely town and beaches. 2 adults 4 kids 12-5

We had a lovely holiday at La Loubine however we probably won't go again.
The pools are great although the sunbeds are very regimented and there isn't any shade around them.
To get a drink or ice-cream for the kids you have to leave the pool and walk round to the bar not ideal but pobably saved us money in the end.
The entertainment is good especially for the kids but very french so non french speakers are left out. The terrace gets very cramped for the evening entertainment and there is not much space for dancing.
Our chalet was clean and well stocked except for a grater and scissors although it had an oyster opener.!!weird
It backed onto the road but there wasn't much traffic noise just the emptying of bottles into the bottle bank each morning. There was some noise from the entertainment but it finished at midnight so not a problem.
The grounds were tidy and well maintained but at the end of the season some areas needed attention (loose slabs round the pool)
The restaurant was good. The snack bar also but it lacked a healthy option, just sandwiches and chips (which were good). There are alot of things for families to do out of the pool and some of it free.
So all in all good.

We've only been camping once before the previous year in Saint Jean De Mont so can only compare with this. We spent two weeks and it was a long two weeks we are all glad to be home. Good points are - lovely gentlemen didn't get his name unfortunately who served our morning coffee Chinese looking and a lovely guy, Sarah lovely in the shop and the staff on reception were all wonderful too can't do enough for you. We booked through Canvas which we wouldn't do again so not the campsites fault but their staff upon arrival could speak no English which was quite difficult. The entertainment is all in French so even though our girls made a couple of friends on a night we went our own way off site as they couldn't understand anything. It was very loud and went on rather late but luckily we were on the far side. The pools appear bigger on the photos very deceiving and cold!! The park area seems to be full of teenagers unsure if they were staying or not but didn't like to leave our two daughters playing alone. No security seemed present which I think this needs. One day while playing table tennis around four teenagers got out a huge shisha pipe and started smoking. Younger friends were coming over to try this but for us it isn't something I expected to see on holiday but nobody seemed to bat an eye me and my ten year old left and it put us off going back she was shocked we both were. It's a shame as most of the staff are lovely I think it just needs security . The takeaway part are nice and friendly only visited the restaurant once not impressed at all sorry. If you speak fluent French and are hard core campers this site will suit you fine but we were clearly out of our depth, and while parts were clean and nice, the teenagers which I believe were local did put us off.
