We booked the unwind and dine package with a balcony view of the runway for one night, when we arrived at 2.30, we were told that the room wasn't ready and they were just finishing up the last few bits which was totally fine, 3.40 came and I went back up to find out was the room ready and was told another 30mins, we waited in the bar and Jennifer Lu was our waitress, who is absolutely lovely. We finally got the call at 5 o clock to say our room was ready. The room was lovely, very spacious and with the perfect view of the runway, there was a lovely little treats bag for my daughter, cookies, prosecco and a graze box.

The day before arriving I rang to see did I need to book dinner and I was told no, no booking needed! Again on check in I asked did we need to book, again I was told no! Went down to dinner to be told there would be a 40 minute wait, I explained to the receptionist that I had already enquired twice about booking for dinner only to be told no, that we already had 2.5 hour wait to get into our room. A lovely waitress called Carla came and got us a table, you could clearly see she was under pressure. The lunch menu and dinner menu are both the same, we had the chicken burgers and they were fab, would definitely recommend.

Breakfast is very rushed, you literally sit down and asked what you want, the family beside us were missing one person and they were asked to order before the other member arrived, bread was stale and the scrambled eggs where like they were micro-waved in a cup and turned up side down on the plate. Not a great selection for kids.

Despite all this we booked in for another night - room only, we headed off for the day and came back for lunch, Jennifer Lu again was our waitress, lovely as always, we ordered 3 soups, 3 sambos, the bread was that stale myself and my daughter did not eat it. Yet again very limited menu for lunch and for kids.

The hotel itself is fabulous, the rooms are lovely and the staff are 100% the making of the hotel. I would definitely recommend it but would advise to eat out of the hotel.
