“Excellent family holiday home”
Reviewed 2 October 2014 for a stay in July 2014

We're a family of six and stayed here for a few nights visiting friends and family back in the UK. The location is quite remote and the property is initially quite hard to find. But, once you're there, you'll be glad you persevered. The accommodation is furnished to a very high standard. There is plenty of room for a large group and, with a large garden and outside table and chairs, even more room to expand. The hosts are friendly and very helpful. the location is good for reaching anywhere in the Peak District as most attractions are 20-30 minutes drive away and this rental is pretty much in the middle of the area. All in all, highly recommended.

“A superior cottage in an amazing location, oozing style.”
Reviewed 1 July 2014 for a stay in June 2014

The Old Dairy experience is a great holiday let . Good space, a garden enclosed by dry stone walling to stop our dogs (or children) escaping, spotlessly clean and supremely comfortable beds. The powerful showers rinse away the dirt after spending time in the great outdoors which is in abundance here with farmland walks on your doorstep - our favourite to Eyam with tea shops, a jacobean NT property and interesting social history as a village devasted by the 1665 plague. We also toured nearby Chatsworth House and its famous water cascade, walked up Mam Tor for fantastic views and walked in the river valley of the picturesque Dovedale followed by a picnic at Ilam Park.
This cottage (and it's next door neighbour Shippon) has everything you need to make your stay in the Peak District memorable.

“Luxurious stay”
Reviewed 21 October 2013 for a stay in October 2013

Great place to stay as a base for our climbing course in the Peaks. we arrived late on Friday to find warm, friendly cottage, lights on, beds made, lemon cake awaiting.
Didn't spend much time in the cottage, but did find it extremely well equipped, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine etc. and lovely crockery. it is beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable and spacious. would love to come back for longer and would recommend it to anyone after a long day in the open air!

Liked best: comfy beds, and dog towel/bowls.
Liked least: wifi access problems, but no real need to sort it out, and am sure would've been sorted quickly.
