Couldn't beat the location quirky cottage 2 staircases over three floors. Bedrooms on first floor great but top bedroom a bit more basic. Layout didn't suit us being two families whichever way we tried it we finished up with a bedroom on one floor and a bathroom on another. Overall lovely place.

“OUR STAY AT THORDISA, SANDSEND”

This lovely quirky cottage is in a lovely setting, opposite the Beck where we fed the ducks every day and a stones throw from the beach. The windy staircase with low ceiling height was a little challenging for my husband who is 6' tall. The kitchen is traditional country with a large range style cooker and was easy to use. The living room is very cosy and two nights of our stay were a little chilly so we lit the log burner which was very simple. The two bedrooms on the first floor are quite large the attic room is smaller and you have to watch your head on the sloping ceiling. I do agree with a previous review who said he thought the pale carpet an odd choice when you come in straight from he beach. We all really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

“Lovely Cottage In A Great Location”

Spent the weekend here with friends and we were all very impressed with both the cottage and its setting. The cottage had everything that we needed and was set back from the main road. Excellent access to the beach and a cosy pub almost next door - it couldn't have been better.

“Good stay, more info required.”
Reviewed 17 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

Very nice cottage, pale cream carpets an odd choice, when coming in off beach etc. Main criticism was lack of instructions for television and DVD player. As a non technophobe found it very difficult to get the TV to work as with the DVD player. SImple instructions required! Also found a lack of local information regarding walks. etc.

“Charming cottage in an ideal location”
Reviewed 7 October 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Had a frantic weeks holiday in late September 15. We took Honey a 3 year old Labrador who loves the Beach. The cottage was in an ideal location for this with plenty of room to dry her of after a long walk.the cottage was also very worm, cosy & comfortable a log fire available and a well equipped kitchen although with a good restaurant and fish & chip shops in the area we had little used for it. We look forward to our next stay ☺
