This is the restaurant of one of the most extraordinary hotels you will ever see. Worth the visit just to look inside the hotel (stunning outside too). The a la carte menu looked interesting but being alone in the restaurant to start with, we were concerned only the set menu might be fresh. No need to worry. The restaurant filled up later. So for just €20 per head, including as much very drinkable house wine as you can drink we had shellfish melange appetisers followed by squid risotto (too salty but tasty) and goat cheese salad for starters. Then we both had good octopus on bed of potato slices. Then a couple of desserts (not great to be honest) and coffees. Incredible value in classy surroundings. The waiter was extremely attentive. Glasses never allowed to become empty and plates cleared instantly. If anything, food appeared suspiciously fast. Virtually no English spoken but menus were translated. Google helped.
