Stayed in this hotel for 8 days during the first week of June. The walk to and from Shinjuku-Sanchome station was not too bad (5 minutes if you exit from C7 from the station) and from the station it's connected underground to Shinjuku station,w here all the other lines are. It's honestly walkable if you're young and healthy--we would walk everywhere, and we could even walk from Hotel Sunlite to Harajuku and even Shibuya (though that would be like a 40 minute walk). Around the hotel you can find several convenience stores (Lawson's etc) and if you walk further up you'll find a McDonalds, Coco Ichiban, and Pepper Lunch.

The room itself was a usual Japanese sized room, and looked nice and was quiet. Airconditioning was good, and the room came with slippers and bathrobes. The bed though was firmer than my liking, but it was okay. Be prepared for limited shelving/surface space, since there were hangers but no closet, which was fine by us but may be hard for those expecting to unpack everything into some form of shelves/cabinet. The bathroom was also well appointed with amenities (shampoo, body wash, condition, body sponges, cotton tips, razors, dental sets, and hair brushes) and had a decent bath tub considering its size. We got a room on the 10th floor of in the main building, so I'm not sure if this is the same for the annex building as well.

Breakfast is in the restaurant on the first floor of the annex building, right beside the main building. It is a delicious buffet of Japanese breakfast items: miso soup, rice, tamago, fried chicken, and fish, as well as some cold salads, bread, and cereals for those who prefer a more western breakfast. We spent 870 yen per person for the buffet breakfast, though this was discounted from the usual 1000 yen since we bought 2 breakfast tickets. There's a bakery also attached to the hotel, drinks vending machines on the 3rd, 6th and 9th floors of the main building, and ice on the 2nd floor of the annex building.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. It was a good "rest stop" since we were gone for most the day anyway, and it fit our needs very well. The staff were very polite and helpful--they even helped me mail the wifi I rented. No problems with communication, and would come back and stay here again!

Room Tip: Get a room on the top floor and away from the elevator if you want a lot of quiet

Trip was planned for 8 days. Unfortunately, our preferred hotel was not available for the first two nights of our trip. Glad we found this hotel in Shinjuku for the first two nights of our stay.

The hotel is undoubtedly Japanese! Everything is small in proportion. The rooms, the bed, the bathroom and even the room’s refrigerator! But because it is Japanese, it still works! It is still comfortable. The bathroom was small but had a bath tub! Great for a warm soak for your aching body and feet!

The location is ok but not great. It was really far from the drop off of the airport limousine bus in Shinjuku. Nearest train station is also a bit of a walk. Its really a struggle to get to anywhere and back with its location.

The hotel is very nice and near distance from Shinjuku main center. Though the rooms are quite small but the place is very quiet and clean. The hotel staff are very accommodating and friendly! I will defenitely come back on my next visit. Kudos to them!
