We stayed here for 4 nights with two young children- it was perfect, comfy beds, lots of space, ponies and cows to see- friendly owner and a cute ginger 4 legged visitor " Biscuit the cat"- the children loved the animals- bungalow has plenty of choice for eating areas..... Kitchen or sunroom or dining room or outside on a picnic bench watching the cows.
Nice clean home from home. Well equipped kitchen for eating in- attention to detail is great ie child lock on household cleaning products cupboard, use of cot and highchair if needed- the children had lots of fun ( and so did dad) on the piano!!
Great welcome from owner and was supplied with milk, tea and coffee and biscuits--- lovely touch!
Overall great family place

Our stay a fieldview cottage was very enjoyable holiday, we where met on arrival by Andrew the owner a very nice & polite guy who showed us around the property, fieldview is a very clean & comfortable bungalow with good sized rooms throughout, the 2 bedrooms are well furnished plenty of wardrobe & drawer space & very comfortable beds with good quality linen also has a freeview wall mounted tv in each room as well as the main one in the living room. The property is easily accessible to anyone elderly or with mobility issues the only area on a different level is the rear sun room which also leads to back patio area. but is still easily accessed by a side gate by the front entrance door if you have a wheelchair user. The bungalow is situated on a quiet country lane with very little passing traffic so i would definitely recommend the accomodation to anyone looking for a nice quiet holiday break.
The main reason we picked this bungalow is because we only had 2 nights and they allowed that which is rare, as most places want you to have 3 nights. The booking went through fast and Andrew was quick to reply to queries.
We arrived late and found the key as arranged. It was warm and welcoming, the fire was on, there was a tray of tea, coffee and biscuits waiting for us, with milk in the fridge which was very thoughtful of Andrew. It was nice to see they had thought of all the little things like salt, ketchup, cling film, etc. The floors were laminate or tiled.
We enjoyed a very quiet, peaceful stay there, with a field view out the back to enjoy watching the occasional rabbit and birds. My son (8) enjoyed the visiting cat, and my daughter (14) enjoyed playing the piano. On our second (and last morning) my husband noticed a sliding door in the middle of the piano and Andrew very kindly gave us a demo, which was a lovely treat !
The bungalow is out in the countryside which was lovely, we went out everyday exploring the local areas so just used it as a base which was perfect for us. There was a patio area with chairs and table but not much else outside to interest them, which is the same most places you go, ( after they had seen the Shetland ponies Andrew has in a nearby field ).
I hadn't realised we were on an electric meter the first night so the next morning we turned off the heaters in the rooms and it stayed warm enough for us. We had a lovely time and would happily recommend it. The only reason we might not go back is because we would want to explore a different area.
We have just returned from a lovely weekend, where we stayed at Field Vview Bungalow.
We couldn't have asked for a warmer welcome. We were met by Doug who showed us around and explained the electric etc. The heating had already been turned on and the fire in the lounge was glowing. A small lamp was lit and gave the lounge area a real cosy feel. When we went into the kitchen we were met by a well laid tea tray complete with biscuits and jams, as well as there being milk in the fridge, what a welcome! Although we didn't use the village hall for an evening out this time, we were certainly made to feel welcome to join in the fun should we have wanted to.
Andrew came to see us the next day to check everything was ok for us.
We couldn't have asked for a more relaxed and comfortable stay in great accommodation with superb hosts. Thanks again, a real gem.
