Room - When we checked in we viewed 3 rooms, standard we booked which was dark and not great and 2 premium rooms. One was right at the end and hubby said probably noisy so opted for room which looks onto harbour, pirate ship and casino on left. Good shower with several jets and jacuzzi option, nice. Small but well designed with divider between toilet/bath and basin. Also a divider between entrance corridor and room to suppress noise. Comfortable bed, safe, no iron ( but can be requested), no kettle as typical in Spain so brought my own. Air con very efficient and silent. Upgrade from standard to premium was 20 euros per night, worth it in my mind.
Breakfast - everyone is raving about it, honestly disappointed, don't get me wrong it was nice enough but some observations, fruit selection variable, often under ripe, poor selection of yogurts (strange normally good in Spain). Bread was very nice, good selection of jams and cheeses and hams and juices, different types of eggs, hot drinks, milks. Hot food selections very greasy, cereals poor and geared towards kids, all down to personal taste I expect but last year the H10 Marbella breakfast was phenomenal so measuring against that benchmark as it is similar size hotel and star rating.
Location - brilliant everything on doorstep, restaurants, bars, tobaccos, supermarkets, etc
Pool- yes it's small but we down by 9ish so fortunately no excess of reserving sun beds and then off to breakfast to emerge later on. Serious lack of umbrellas in pool area though, a grand total of 4 for the whole area! Beds are very comfy though.
Service- impressed, friendly and accommodating. We asked for extra hangers(never enough and only 3 drawers in room), iron, issues with safe on day, lights all resolved promptly.
Wifi- Excellent everywhere even though hotel was full, even ranged to pirate ship outside hotel.
Beach- on doorstep, nice warm water, busy though and a bit dirty (cigarette ends, they should provide ashtray comes like they do in Portugal)probably due to vast volume of people using it.

We were looking for a nice place for a leisurely late lunch! What a treat!! The sea bass, deboned table side was spectacular!! We wound up eating meals here for a week! The paella is wonderful!!
The service was wonderful until it became crowded. The delays were understandable. Absolutely worth your time!!!

I never seen before that dirty bathroom, bath was hand painted, they should clean it first at least, terrible. Dirty curtains, and sheeting. Hotel need general refurbish and new manager. Never Melia again. Avoid

Room tip: Avoid this hotel, good location that's all

Couple of nights here on business.

Room was good (although would have been better if the balcony door hadn't been left open for my arrival... Bit hot!)

Breakfast was fantastic, with a wide selection of good quality food.

Highly recommended for a business trip, although not sure I would pay the advertised €200 a night for a pleasure trip...!

Stayed three nights in July. Fab hotel in a stunning location. Breakfast is amazing with great views of the beach and castle. Friendly polite staff who are always happy to help. Second time here and just booked to return in December.
