A very steep cobbled pedestrian lane winds up the hill to the entrance to the castle. Both this & the slopes inside the castle grounds are viable for a sturdy mobility scooter. It cost €2 entrance fee. The ramps zig zag up to the viewpoint at the top of the castle. There are plenty of places to rest& catch your breath, read the plaques that give historic information about the building & use of the castle in former centuries. Note the whole attraction is outdoors & it can be windy & a bit chilly at the top, even in June. We visited on a Sunday & castle is open every day except Thursday.
