We were lucky to be able to sit outside on the terrace and enjoy a beautiful evening and sunset with local champagne and a gastronomic delight.
The monkfish cheek was a dish to behold and washed down with great local wine. Respectably priced for a special dining experience

We tried the tasting menu on our first night at the hotel and what a treat it was! There are local specialties that were truly super and we ate so much! The courses are all very different and beautifully presented.
The dining room is very elegant and was quite cozy, and the staff were very friendly and hospitable, which is why we chose to eat here on our second night too.
This time we chose dishes off the menu as we were not as hungry, and these too contained ingredients from the surrounding areas and were as delicious as anticipated.
I would thoroughly recommend trying the tasting menu if you are in the area - the Monte Isola salami was absolutely wonderful and should not be missed!!

The restaurant belongs to an upmarket hotel. We came in as walk-ins for dinner in August 2017, were welcomed politely and given a table on the terrace.

There was a slight confusion with the order: We overlooked the small print that the degustation menus come only per table, so we settled for the Lago d'Iseo degustation menu, rather than trying two different ones.

The food was good. Nothing spectacular or overly complicated, but good produce prepared and presented well:

The service was attentive as well, although some of the staff was still in the process of learning the trade. That didn't bother us. What did was that we had wait around 45 minutes for the bill and ask for it multiple times. The reason seemed to be that the head waiter/manager was tied up at a celebration a few tables down. We had the impression that he wasn't there only in his professional capacity and felt like second-class guests. At this point mosquitos were descending upon the well-lit terrace. This slightly spoilt an otherwise really nice evening.

The food is expertly prepared and the staff are very nice, but sometimes there was a lag between ordering and receiving. There could have been another server scheduled.

The food is fresh and imaginatively prepared. It was wonderful to get back to the hotel after walking and know a lovelt dinner awaited downstairs.
Next time we will try the tasting memu.
