My family and I had an amazing lunch at La Luna nel Pozzo. The atmosphere is cosy and the service as well as the food were outstanding. We will definitely come back next year for another truffle lunch. Thank you ristorante La Luna nel Pozzo.

Down a side alley in Neive is a gem of a restaurant. Real people providing genuine service and beautiful food. It transported my wife and I back to a time when running a great restaurant was about the owner(s) being on the floor and/or in the kitchen, genuinely helpful with choices, obviously passionate in their quality control, knowing what they are good at and producing it, in an environment that elegantly comfortable. This place is magical.

We have visited this restaurant several times since 2006. We have never been disappointed. This is italian cuisine at its best, people who love their food and wine and are proud over presenting it to their guests. We ate the smal tasting menu, we enjoyed every bit of it!

We were 2 couples visiting the Langhe region. While exploring the town of Neive, we found by chance this restaurant as it had started to drizzle. If you have travel a lot around the world, You have learned not to judge the book by the cover: the entrance (or at least the one we found) is through a very narrow outdoor terrace, not too appealing, but once inside it's a cozy, family managed restaurant that we truly enjoyed!
The menu & wine list feature great Piemontese delicacies, and every dish was beautifully presented & delicious.
The food is a Michelin-star-style but at reasonable prices.
The Chef's welcome dish was a delicious gazpacho sorbet that along the warm fresh varieties of home-made bread, made a very good impression.
Being gluten-free I ordered the grilled Pulpo (octopus) over an Orzo crust with melanzane (eggplant) caponata which was superb. Others ordered the famous Piemontese "ravioles del Plin" which the raved about how delicate it was. Other dishes included the beef carpaccio with their homemade sauces, the Vitello tonnato, the "tjarin", which were also flavorful.

The crown however was the dessert: the hazelnut mousse & muffin-like with the most flavorful delicate & sublime hazelnut sauce, really out of this world!!
The service was very friendly but a bit slow (maybe because it started raining and the guests from the outdoor tables needed to be accommodated inside). I think Me Cesare ( the owner) could get additional hands to help around.
The quality/value relationship is very good (about 60-80 euros a couple with good Local wines).
Highly recommend this restaurant.

We were excited to visit here because of the Michelin star but left disappointed.

The owner and staff are very friendly and the wine list excellent. The dessert was great, as was the home made bread.

It was drawn down by very slow service on the evening and also sub-standard mains. Both my partner and I did not enjoy the mains (chicken and cod) which were fairly dull and uninspiring. The sauce for the cod was quite tasteless.

Overall it's a nice place with a good atmosphere but for the price the area has better food.
