We arrived late to our nearby hotel and asked where was good to eat. They recommended and booked La Marlera. As we made our way down a narrow lane in a very quiet village we did not expect to find a stylish courtyard setting. Obviously recently converted, this osteria is very tastefully finished. The host, who we guessed us also the owner and waiter, was very pleasant. The menu offers five options for each course. Then zucchini parmigiana was delicious as was the green lasagna and the soft egg with hazelnut purée was a taste sensation. Having skipped lunch we had three courses each, 1 dessert, a large glass of wine and a bottle of water. The total was €70. Very good value for such a refined, locally sourced and beautifully produced meal.
