We had the family room because I travelled with my husband and child. The room was a small appartement with a separate gedroom. Especially the small kitchenette was very convenient with the child. The hotel was close to the tram stop and we able to go Evert where.
I have spent a month in this hotel and its booked at my office was in Pessac. The front desk guys are less-welcoming and I had to struggle to get things done. The wifi is pathetic, I spent a month and always struggled with internet connection. They clean the room once in a week which was not briefed when I first checked in. After 3 days to untidy room I went up to the guy at front desk and he gave me a cold look. The only good thing about this hotel is its right on the Forum tram station. I found this hotel very local-type, don’t expect international facilities.
I have stayed in the Teneo Talence very often and was always satisfied. Nice people at the reception, suitable rooms with a desk and a small kitchen and a good price for a hotel in Bordeaux. I alsways prefer a room in the 4th floor with a large balcony.
The rooms are dated and do not look like the pictures at all. There is no aircon, only two fans, so my room was unbearably hot when daytime temperatures went above 25 degrees. During my stay (3 days) the WiFi did not work - the hotel reception said the internet provider had a problem, which was hard to believe since colleagues of mine stayed at another Teneo hotel two blocks away that did have a connection. Breakfast is poor, although the croissants were good. I would not recommend going here.
Talence is a really nice and calm part of the city, so this hotel has a very nice location. It is right next to the tram stop "Forum", so it takes about 10 minutes to get to the city centre by line A. The rooms are clean and spacious, however they don't have air condition, so during the summer nights it can be really unpleasantly hot. Also, not all the rooms have a hair dryer so be sure to check that. There are a couple of fine restaurants and bakery shops just around the corner.
