“Absolutely Charming”

We so enjoyed our stay at BallyMorrris Cottage that we intend to come back next year! It is perfectly appointed with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Just minutes from the Shannon Airport, we were unpacked and on our way sight-seeing by early afternoon on day 1. Hannah and her friends at BallyMorris Pottery were a joy and were so helpful with directions, where's the grocery store, etc. Also, the Pottery is beautiful so we bought some and had it shipped home. As well as Cliffs of Moher, Galway Bay and Bunratty Castle ( try the medieval banquet!) we highly recommend the Farmers and Artisans Market on Saturday mornings in Limerick. Can't wait to come back to this beautiful Country and this wonderful cottage.

“Beautifully Renovated Cottage”

We spent a week in this cottage at the end of August. The cottage is a renovated farm building. The owners have done an excellent job on the renovation. The owners have a house and pottery shop on the property which is convenient should you need any assistance. The cottage has a well equipped kitchen with a good sized refrigerator (at least for European standards). The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of water pressure for showering. The owner has installed a wifi booster in the cottage and we had no problems receiving wifi. As noted in a previous review there is a charge for gas usage which applies to both the central heat and hot water. The cottage is located on a quiet country road just off the motorway running between Limerick and Galway which makes it convenient for visiting the Cliffs of Moher, Bunratty Castle, etc. I would definitely book this cottage when we return to this area of Ireland.

The cottage was just as it was described on the website, very clean, quiet, comfortable and had everything we needed. It was a very good location to explore the west side of the the island. The cottage is located next to the Ballymorris Pottery, where the kind owners live. In the Pottery you can buy magnificient products. We liked also the owner's dog Stevie.
This cottage was a our best location among 14 days trip in Ireland.

“Lovely property”
Reviewed 5 February 2015 for a stay in January 2015

Pros - The property was light and airy and well appointed. Ceiling height good and couches comfortable. The 3 bathrooms was a great bonus. Nice and quiet with a lovely wood burner. The beds were comfortable for a good nights sleep.

Cons - The TV unit had intermittent issues meaning you couldn't always choose which channel to watch and it did not get resolved during our stay of 10 days; the wifi was in the main house and had great difficulty getting the signal in the cottage....if it rained there was no signal at all. Just needs a wifi booster as they are cheap to obtain. There is an extra charge for gas which is mentioned only when you arrive but not on the booking site. We chose to minimize gas use and use the fireplace but it still came to 70 euro for 10 days, so its the sort of thing that should be mentioned on the booking page.

Hi there :-)
Just to let you know there is now a new dish for the television, so problem solved.
We are in the process of up grading the WiFi. We have not listed the availability of WiFi as we thought it might be weak in the cottage. Work in progress.Keep an eye on the listing if this is important to you.
I would like to point out that there is mention of the heating cost on the listing details. We only charge for what you use.
Hope that clarifies a few things. Thank you. Do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

“Really lovely stay in a perfect location.”
Reviewed 27 November 2014 for a stay in October 2014

Stayed here for 4 days in October and we both would have loved to have stayed longer.
The house was beautiful and had everything we needed and wanted, and it was in a beautiful location too. Close to limerick but also to some lovely rural landscape with plenty of places to go and see, like Bunratty Castle and the cliffs of Moher.

If we ever go back then we would love to stay here again, the owners were lovely, very welcoming and told us about what is local and what there was to do in the area.

Thank you for a lovely stay!
