As so many other people we stayed after a visit to Legoland. The family room we had was large, the bathroom was spacious and the owners were friendly. There was a small play area for the children and they were fascinated by the birds belonging to the hotel.
The most memorable thing though was the breakfast. The owners really made an effort. I stayed at a Holiday Inn recently where there was a choice of bread with ham or salami and two types of cheese, both quite bland. Hotel Pension Futterknecht had at least seven types of cheese and almost as many types of sliced meat. They also had a warm option with bacon and scrambled eggs, sweet pastries and a wide selection of other options.
We left happy with a full belly ready to face our next stop in Würzburg.
