Try this restaurant outside Alba. Fantastic view over the wine yards. Great food, we went for fish. Salmon roles as starter and baken fish of The day in paper. Good wine list. Everything goes for rating 6. Except The service. Be a little more interested in The guests. Welcome, present wines, present The food. Smile. If you are happy, we are too. But try it, we will do that again. :-)

A short ride from Alba, we arrived at this restaurant which was situated on the hills overlooking the vineyards. Although it was quite hot, we decided to dine outside at the lovely terrace whereas most people preferred to go to the cooler tables inside. We received a glass of house prosecco and some amuses. It’s important to mention that this restaurants belongs to a Masucco bodega and has also an adjacent cantina where you can buy your wines. So, this was also the reason why you could order wines at a very reasonable price. But this is obviously not enough to grade this place as excellent as food is critical in this aspect! Well, I have eaten in many other restaurants in the vicinity, but I think that I can say that this was the best so far!! From the appetizers to the pasta’s and main course, all were fabulous! We both had the menu which is really a bargain at 48 euro for I believe 5-6 courses. After the diner the owner was so nice to open the shop only for us allowing us to stock some of the Roero reds which we were pleasantly surprised with! I will definitely return during the truffle season and I do have quite high expectations but with what I have tasted, I have good faith and very much looking forward to it!!

We went to this restaurant for nice Sunday lunch and were so happy with the beauty of the presentation of the food and the restaurant and its grounds, but most importantly with the extreme quality of food. We enjoyed the traditional Piedmont tastes, such as the beef carpaccio agnolotti with a Barolo reduction sauce as well as more innovative dishes such as the fig tempura with prosciutto and goat cheese mousse. Be sure to save room for dessert! In addition to great food, the wine was really excellent. We also reserved a table with a great view and we found it all to be reasonably priced. After lunch we headed down into the cantina and enjoyed a taste of Roero's best. The wine and local products were also very reasonably priced for their excellent quality.
