The hotel is beautiful and clean, nice towels and comfortable beds, great hairdryer, small sea view rooms,
Christina and Alex we were great, and often asked if thing were ok,
Unfortunately on arrival we were double booked!!
It clearly states” no children “but we had children at breakfast, lunch and evening meal, and even the outside bar,
We spoke to the receptionist who said it’s fine he’s my brother”one child even joined in the entertainment,

Fitting we’re missing in the bathroom, this was our fourth visit and we missed the old friendlier staff, the new ones have an attitude , we were given the wrong bar bill twice, breakfast was excellent with the addition of a chief, Men are now able to wear shorts for evening meal,
, The a la carte service, was horrendous, short untrained staff, on many occasion we sat for two hours waiting, unless we came early to avoid this , after a very hot day we did not fancy, most of the meals , a salad would have been lovely. That’s the good thing about a buffet salad , would have been nice to eat at there sister hotel next door, , so left halfway through as seating was very uncomfortable after a very long wait,
We feel this hotel is designed for younger people, which is evident as there is very low seating everywhere, which is a shame as it’s now disability friendly, a new lift”
The rear pool is nice you can always get a sunbed, although a pool drink service would have been nice, beach towels are now being provided , it would have been nice to be able to sit in the communal area, and have a drink, no one at the bar, short staffed ,no aircon , and fans were not to be put on! There are many hotels around,

My boyfriend and I have just returned from a weeks stay at the Hoposa Pollentia Hotel and we were beyond impressed. The hotel has recently been refurbished and it is just perfect!!!

When we arrived we were greeted by a lovely receptionist, she was so friendly and always checked up on us through the week to see that everything was alright.

The rooms are lovely and clean. The rooftop terrace with the dipping pool is to die for, made even nicer by the fact that you don’t have to worry about getting a sun bed as there are always ones available. They also bring you fruit skewers at a certain time of the day whilst you are sunbathing and that’s a great extra touch.

The a la Carte menu is great and the food is of the best quality. We were apprehensive when we read that it wasn’t a buffet however we much preferred it being a la Carte, there is something really nice about both sitting down together and being served rather than the chaos that a buffet style can bring. The only comment I would make is that as the a la carte menu is new you have to be fairly patient as you can tell that the staff are still trying to get used to how things run. All of the restaurant staff are lovely and we especially thought that David and Jose went that extra mile to make you feel comfortable and they were always so friendly.

Our only slight criticism which is hard to find as it is such a great hotel is that if you are staying in a room at the back of the hotel you don’t have a balcony. We don’t ever spend time on a balcony on holiday but they are good for drying swimwear and towels and we did miss not being able to do this.

Overall this hotel is amazing and we were blown away by how great it was. We would definitely recommend it and we are already looking at booking it up again for next year!!

Overall this is an excellent hotel. We have enjoyed 3 great holidays in this hotel over the last 10 years. This year we went to dinner with a sense of foreboding, however.

There was a wonderful variety for breakfast even for vegetarians, although this was spoilt a little by finding ham sprinkled over the broccoli one morning and also ham in what I was told was a cheese croquette. (Ham is meat and vegetarians don't eat meat) Overall the breakfast buffet offered an excellent choice, though. For vegans there were baked beans for breakfast.

Evening meals were a big disappointment however, as we were looking forward to the buffet we'd enjoyed on previous holidays. The a la carte menu offered a very poor choice of mediocre meals. There were small portions of vegetables and many meat and fish dishes came without potatoes, rice or pasta. On the other hand for vegetarians like myself most of the options on offer were carb heavy with small amounts of veg and protein. With the buffet of previous years more active people could help themselves to as many carbs as they wanted and those wanting to lose weight or keep their blood sugar at a healthy level could have filled up with more vegetables and bean salad. This is what made this hotel better than others in the past. Unless we hear the buffet has been reinstated, or the food has otherwise improved, we are likely to go self-catering next time we are in Pollensa as we don't like hotel food as a rule.

We've enjoyed the tumbet in the past and it was on offer as a starter. On one occasion I asked if I could have it as a main course and I was given the same size portion as the starter. This happened with several other starters I requested as main courses due to the limited choice of vegetarian food. On the plus side when I asked if I could have the quinoa tabbouleh without seafood I was given a salad with quinoa instead as it wasn't possible to extract the seafood.

The quality of the food wasn't always great. I enjoyed one tasty, if slightly salty, meal of stir fried vegetables with rice noodles, but when I had a similar dish later in the week it was greasy, drowned in soy sauce and if that wasn't salty enough some even saltier crispy onion or seaweed was put on top, burned to a frazzle. The tumbet was tomato soup/sauce poured over the vegetables rather than vegetables cooked in a tomato sauce.

The menu repeated after 8 days, although a few of the specials (leftovers?) did change. We did consider eating in a vegetarian restaurant at one point, but felt too tired to walk to the other end of town on that occasion. I had my own supply of nuts to eat to make sure I had enough protein.

Most of the staff were friendly and polite but a few less so. Some had trouble understanding more than basic English but the receptionists spoke and understood English very well.

The hotel is very clean and now has a fresh, modern decor. We had a great view of the bay and sunrises from our balcony. We had our towels changed almost daily even when we didn't request it and the sheets were changed often enough. While there wasn't a great deal of storage space, we managed with a bit of planning, likewise with drying swimsuits, towels and clothes. The hotel is situated a short walk from a beautiful sandy beach and has a pool at the back just about big enough for some serious swimming or to avoid the jellyfish which were prolific this year due to the unusually hot weather. Most of them were very small giving stings which wore off in half an hour and left a tiny mark. There were a few bigger jellyfish, which left marks that lasted longer. I still have scars over a fortnight later, however they are fading. They are the only other less than good memory of my holiday in Port de Pollensa this year.
