I live nearby and had been meaning to drop in.
Fronm outside it looks like a very casual lunch-type trattoria where people only go for lunch during the week.
So this week I popped in with my gf for dinner.
We were surprised that the front actually extended into the back, which was much fancier than it seemed from outside.
Service was good, staff attentive but no over-bearing.
Atmosphere was very nice but not overly classy.
Basically you come here for authentic Milanese cuisine.
And they concentrate their efforts on the food. Rightly so !
My gf had "elefant's ear", which is a thinly cut battered veal steak. Sometimes it is also called Milanese veal.
I also had beef, but a cut of fileet with Gorgonzola sauce...
We ordered 2 sides: grilled vegetables and a tomatoes & rochette.
For drink, we only had 1 bottle of sparkling water for 2.
Overall the meat was well cooked and sauce was devine.
Overall the billed came to around 45-50 EUR including tax.
I intend to go back.
