At the conclusion of a tasing at nearby Emilio Moro we asked our host for a nearby restaurant for dinner. She recommended Molino de Palacios and even made the reservation for us. What a find. Housed in a former mill that is built over the river, this cozy gem did not disappoint. Our server was welcoming (and spoke english) and the food terrific. We had the suckling lamb with was delightful. Highly recommend you find this unique spot and experience for yourself.

From the friendly service to the incredible setting in an old mill, Molinas de Palacio is a little gem in Peñafiel. Fresh homemade bread from the enormous wood fired oven was offered to begin and we really enjoyed the rabbit and rice and the chicken stew. We would have had the lamb which is the house signature dish, but it sold out. Note; it takes four hours to cook the lamb so reserve the lamb when you call to reserve your table (serves 1-2 people). Still, the other dishes were phenomenal. Highly recommend a bottle of the Peñafalcon from the local vineyard (a great discovery!)

Thanks Naomie, Amelia and team at Molinas! 💙💙

We stopped here for lunch during a wine tour in the region and had such a wonderful meal. The restaurant is off the beaten path, located in an old mill. We dined on grilled white asparagus, chorizo, some lovely sheep’s milk cheese, and the roasted lamb which was out of this world. If you were in the area, I highly recommend you give this restaurant a try!

We enjoyed a lovely lunch in this restaurant.
It was the first stop of our trip to Ribera del Duero.
The restaurant was recommended by traveler magazine and we really loved it.
The main course we ordered was Lechazo, recommended by the house, it was delicious.
The staff and the service were friendly and accommodating.
We recommend 100%.
