We visited this restaurant by chance when the restaurant recommended to us turned out to be closed .
For a couple of vegans celebrating both a wedding anniversary and a birthday it proved an absolute delight.
Many of the traditional Puglian dishes on the menu were vegan and we ate exceptionally well ....bruscette with a fiery pepper and turnip topping , a creamy broad bean dish topped with chicory , a pignata with bread, peas onion and sun dried tomatoes , and a dish of cime di rapa .
Everything was really delicious and to make it even more special when Antonio knew we were celebrating the chef produced a plate of crispy vegan dough balls complete with candle to dip in marmellatta !
Everything in the restaurant was locally produced with no air miles !
We really enjoyed hearing about the food production and Antonio even showed us videos of his harvesting of crops .
It really was a very special experience and we will definitely return if we holiday locally in the future.
Thank you Antonio and staff for delicious food and kind and courteous service
