The Song family were THE family of China during the thirties. The 3 sisters married the prime minister, Son Yat, and Chaing Kai-shek. The 3 bothers were minister of administration, president of the bank of china, and chairman of the bank of Hong Kong. They all studied in th USA like their farther and were incredibly rich. However their father was actually adopted and was born in this relatively poor area. So this house is not as grand as you might expect. Rather it is a rebuild of what was his parents farm house. Only one member of the Song family have visited here but the family tree makes interesting reading. Oh its only 15 rmb to get in.
