I stayed at Feng Huang Cheng (Phoenix Hotel) with both of my aged parent from 2nd May 2010 to 10th May 2010.

The Hotel is well located on the northern side of Wenchang City with present population of more than 150,000.

FENG HUANG CHENG (PHOENIX HOTEL) has a no frill but clean environment with very spacious room suitable both for the old and the young.

The rooms with the front view has a BAY-Window with a nice comfy resting chair. Whereas rooms with the back view give a scenic view of the Wenchang River and its natural surrounding.

Food is easily available at its adjourning building with "TIM SUM" and local delicacy at its CAFE within the hotel premises. If you care to experience the local "TIM SUM" breakfast walk out of the main entrance turn to your right and head for the Y-Junction about 100 metre away. A few yard on the centre of the Y-Junction you will be able to locate a eatery serving local delicious "TIM SUM" at very economical price and good variety as well.

To experience local seafood steamboat meal for dinner turn left of the hotel main entrance, walk till the end of the row of shops to locate the economical restuarant for this meal. PRICE IS ECONOMICAL AND FOOD IS GOOD.

For easy communication get your SIM CARD from the China Mobile Store on the right of the Hotel Main Entrance.

Your neighbourhood provisional or local Seven-Eleven Store are on both side of the road. For RMB4.00 (Four) you can hitch a ride on the motorcycle taxi to the town centre.
