This quality experience was a combination of entertainment and education, a heart felt journey back in time. The setting, the cast, the story and the service was simply outstanding. I highly recommend this experience.

Spirits of the Red Sands is a fantastic show and dinner.
right from the start it was informative. you don't just sit in a theater you are led through all the aspects of Aboriginal life right from Captain Cook
You are taken on a journey of discovery, through a smoke ceremony and acceptance into tribe. It was acted out very well. i urge anyone looking for something special to pay a visit to the Beenleigh Historical Village to see this show. and the meal was to die for 3 courses all beautifully presented and prepared.

Entertaining as well as educational show. Absolutely enjoyed the night. Dinner was very generous serving and delicious. Great night out with story telling and acting, dancing and didgeridoo. Would definitely recommend

i expected the experience to be more about the culture and lifestyle of the Aboriginal people over the milleniums.I would of liked to know more about the dailly life ,foods and lifestyle of the Aboriginal people.Instead there was too much focus on what has happened since the British arrived in Australia and on how Aboriginals have been mistreated. Dont get me wrong i am not condoning how Aboriginal people have been treated,but i felt you were hamering the issue home to strongly to people like myself who had nothing to do with what went on in the past.I honestly wanted to go to the show to learn about Aboriginal culture and way of life.I think by putting too much emphasis on the negative things that have happened in the last two hundred yrs you are letting an opportunity pass by to really educate people about your race.Aborigines have been in Australia for 60000 yrs yet your emphasis was on 200.No offence.

We appreciate you experiencing Spirits of the Red Sand and for your honest comments. Our evening dinner experience is an historical re-enactment of the time in history when the British and Aboriginal meet for the very first time. What’s even more unique is that our cast are direct descendants of the very story you journey through. We appreciate that the expectation might’ve been for a pure song and dance entertainment however Spirits of the Red Sand goes beyond that to provide authentic cultural immersion and we are proud to have just been voted No 1 Must do Queensland Experience. Cultural immersion requires us to place cultural offerings back into their original and natural setting and allows us to tell history through story. Our guests get to witness a Smoking ceremony, Welcome to country and message stick challenge, Corroboree and didgeridoo performances, even a burial ritual and of course bush tucker and still we offer pre show entertainment to learn about the culture - all cultural elements being authentically infused throughout the evening and woven together by powerful storytelling as only a culture 60,000 years old can deliver.
What we believe you might like to experience more is our new day time experience which connects you with our culture as you participate in didgeridoo playing, boomerang painting, artefacts and weaponry demonstrations, dancing, bush tucker, fire lighting ceremonies as you get up close and personal with us, the Aboriginal of Australia.
