Limited choice of beers and only ok. Food was pretty good although my friend wasn’t impressed with the vegetarian burger. Pudding was good too. All in all a good solid place for a meal.

The menu is very good and the environment is special. It took a while before we could order. The food was very good and so was the wines, but the staff was not very attentive. After we had tried to get the waiters attention a long time, one of us had to go after the waiter to get attention. If this is the rule, it is great possibilities for improvement here.

We use this restaurant on a regular basis.
Today Sunday 29th April arrived at 2.45 and were asked did we have a reservation. We said we come here regularly and have never made a reservation. Told by fairly abrasive young man with red hair that they were not taking any more Bookings’s. Three tables in the bar empty and despite that told we had a wedding last night. I said we will come back later at around four as they advertise food all day. No was the response that will not work either. We are not taking any more bookings.
Having driven 20 mikes we were not happy and the attitude of the person we spoke to was ar best surly and a worst rude. Perhaps a customer care course would not go amiss.

We went to the mashed tun and had a great lunch and with staff who wanted our business.

We will not rush back for such bad service.
Great shame as the people normally are very good but none of the regular staff were about.

Sorry but need to get your act together whether you have a wedding the night before or not.
You advertise food all day.
End of.

We stopped here right before heading to Edinborough. All we really expected was to grab a burger really quickly, but this place has an excellent menu. Recommend the cottage pie. Service was a little slow, especially considering how many people were working and only about six of us were in the place. But the staff was pleasant nonetheless. Recommend it.

We were on the Speyside Whiskey Tour and stopped here for lunch. Homemade soup and the Smoked Salmon plate with delicious homemade bread! Lovely old pub in The Craigellache Hotel. Quiet spot for lunch between distillery tours. Would go back just for the bread!
