We had a really nice and relaxing stay for 1 week. The staff was very friendly. The Food is very american but good and delicious. Best Place is the Poolbar to relax and cool down a llttle bit. Pay Attention for the birds. They might steel your Food or sugar ;-)

This resort is wonderful with many swimming pools well organized aroiund plam trees, and very well prepared garden. But this resort is quite far from external site of interest, and it is not possible to get out without authorization. It's like a "golden jail". Breakfast, lunchs and diners are proposed with many differents dishes allowing to select the menu that best suits you. But there are too many people and this restaurant place (for non premium members) is not really quiet, and you have to wait to get a table. Romms are quite large and looks luxury, but they would need refreshment : old air conditioning buttons without temperature indications, old electrical buttons, moisters in the shower, and intense dirt on the side window. Black beach is roughly cleaned in fron of the resort. Unlimited cocktails was appreciated. Hotel team was very kind

Room Tip: Request for a room with view on pools

This is a great resort with excellent, friendly service. There are 5 pools with one for adults only (even though, sometimes, parents forget that). It's quiet - you don't get the Spring Break crowds here. You can just enjoy a pleasant stay. It has 2 restaurants other than the daily buffet. In addition, there are a few poolside places where you can snack or have a sandwich or drink pretty much all day & well into the night. No one could possibly go hungry here as they always have food to satisfy the pickiest of eaters. I love that they don't overbook so one can easily find a shady spot - no fighting for chairs here. Just relax & enjoy. The spa was awesome - little outdoor cabana for a couples massage, surrounded by bushes & flowers for privacy- & reasonably priced. I never left the resort the entire week. There simply was no reason to. The dock was really cool to hang out at during the day or night where you can enjoy the ocean breeze. I was a little disappointed that it wasn't a white, sandy beach but rather, a dark, volcanic beach. Honestly, though, it never stopped us from having fun & relaxing. The resort is over an hour from the hotel so it will cost you a good $80 (after haggling) for a 1 way trip. Make sure you & the cab driver are both talking about the same currency - $US or Colones. We were told $50 US to get to the resort by the cab driver (red cab) only to get there & have him demand 50000 Colones ($88 US)!

Spent 3 days - staff by pool side- excellent , break fast and dinner service warmth ,was luke warm ! The food - was below par for a hilton . People eating whilst in the pool is a bit revolting . Salads were excellent but the meat was very fatty , it lacked variety ! I wasn't expecting a 6 stay or a 5 star but I was expecting a basic Hilton ! We usually get perks as a diamond member- we were given our all inclusive bracelets , key card and then the gentleman proceeded to tell us that we were in the main block but if we paid extra we could go to the exclusive unit for a price - we agreed and he then had to take off the bracelets etc ! ( it could of been smoother !) I would recommend the hotel for 2 nights and nothing more ! Costa Rica is soo soo stunning - so much to see and do! The beach wasn't pretty and the sign that states that you should refrain from taking your valuables with you whilst you walk on the beach wasn't comforting! On a positive note the pools , hotel grounds and rooms were nice - it was very clean .

Dear Guest,

The time taken to share your feedback is greatly appreciate it. I am sharing your comments about your recent stay with our Management team to improve those areas you have highlighted. I assure you that our chef and our staff continually work together every day to show our standing and create an unique experience to all our guest, it is for this reason, we thank you very much to inform us about your perception regarding the meat and variety.

Our beach is a different one because its color which is a volcanic and public one, we take care of our guest's security and recommend not to carry values if you decide to take a walk, we are also starting the rainy season, so its water looks darker than in summer.

Our country offers a wide variety of tourist attractions to discover, this magic takes you to a different and amazing world to relax and enjoy this unforgettable memory.

We are looking having you in a near future.

Sincerely,

Ricardo Rodriguez Gil

My wife and I enjoyed three nights at this resort last week. The staff members are all very friendly without a single exception. There is nothing spectacular about the rooms, the other facilities or the food but nothing glaringly wrong either. The pool is great. It was basically the same quality as a Carnival Cruise. My wife and I certainly had a nice time but I understand how some reviewers were a little underwhelmed compared to other resorts. However, for what we paid, I thought it was a good value.
