Got here just before it closed for the season which meant that the usual range of wine by the glass was not available. The food was excellent, particularly the desserts. We were informed that the pastry chef likes to use savory ingredients such as vegetables - it really works. A nice touch was a present of a little brioche, with the recipe printed on the inside of the box.

Very nice place. Many good things (appetisers, veal main course, service, etc) but the stand out was the cauliflower/oyster/caviar and the burgundy wine list. We will definitely go back next time in Lille.

We went for the sunday lunch menu. English is spoken. Location is actually in a suburb of Lille. Ambiance is nice. Service is good but not as good as other Michelin starred restaurants. Food was good but not amazing. Price was good. The wine list was extensive and we were very happy with our wine.

We were excited about this place. We've been to many Michelin star restaurants and several of San Pellegrino best 50 in the world. We liked it but not loved it.
The ambiance is nice, service OK, the wine and drink menu is excellent (great wines at reasonable prices and amazing cognac).
The food was very good, but it did not "know my socks off". The taste of everything was nice but nothing blew my mind.
Overall the price/food ratio for a lunch was good. But if this is your first Michelin star place, give a try to some other one before giving up in spending money on that kind of food.

I think that for the 1st time ever, I left something when eating in a Michelin-starred: the lobster feeling like chewing gum...and I could even comment of the uninspiring bread and an overall unimpressive freshness of the ingredients...why the 4 stars in the review and why La Laiterie deserves its star? You can see they try and can't write a bad review on a bad dish out of an overall menu' that tries to be original and well thought...the hollandaise with mint could be questionable but it's somehow refreshing, for example. Additionally the staff is attentive without being suffocating and the environment is relaxing & pleasant. Unlikely you'll leave a 5 star review unless your lobster is better than mine ;-) but you won't feel in a bad mood from La Laiterie.
