We were told of this place by the wonderful ladies at The Mussel Pot, who even called and let them know we would be coming late. Rae was a total sweetheart and accommodated us late arrivals with a smile. The place was cute and the scenery was stunning.

Stayed here one night the rooms were lovely and clean the people very friendly and its not to far away from Havelock and Blenheim. I would love to stay there again. Highly recommended for any campers.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Waves. Just outside Havelock, Waves Campsite is not a ‘mainstream’ campsite, it’s also used by locals and workers which gave it a wonderful atmosphere. Very clean facilities and a nice community room with a personal touch (the dead wood saloon). The manager Rae really went the extra mile and nothing was too much trouble. It was definitely one of my my favourite campsites in NZ!

We are currently travelling new Zealand and booked into waves campsite about 45 minutes outside of picton. The facilities are very good and very clean the host is very congenial and knowledgeable about the area. You are 10 minutes from havelock, 20 minutes from the winerys, breweries and 30 minutes from Blenheim. I would with no hesitation recommend this campsite. Also very competitive prices which always helps!!!

Well this camp is just a wee bit unique. Sisters Sheila and Heather are the most amazing hostesses. Nothing is too much trouble. Just ask. They will see what they can do to help make your visit memorable. We stayed off and on while we went out on our boats overnighting. Sheila could share her local marine knowledge and weather reports. Big help!!! The girls were happy to run us in and out of Havelock by at range arrangement and negotiation. We were able to store our cars and boat trailers and we even negotiated a ride to town so we could have a night out. Thanks Heather. You are a star. The Dead Wood Saloon is cute and certainly made it a fun social stay. We would we not think twice about where to stay when in the area again. They have ability to accommodate every traveller. Well done Heather and Sheila for providing a great bit of kiwi hospitality. Helen and Mike, from Auckland
