Was originally looking for a campsite (and they had a lovely spacious one) but decided to stay in a cabin instead, mostly because predicted rain. The cabin was well priced and very clean and comfortable.
Host showed us around all facilities which included separate men's and women's toilets and showers, a very well equipped, clean kitchen, and a great little bar/lounge area. Bathrooms were very well maintained, especially considering similarly priced accomodation in NZ. Host was really friendly and accommodating, which made the stay all the better.
We enjoyed some drinks on the spacious deck while the sun set, then played some darts before bed. Others guests were friendly and all round it was really positive, relaxing experience with a great vibe across the whole space. Even got to see a Weka strutting around in the evening!
Would easily recommend to anyone looking to stay in Picton/Blenhiem/Havelock area, and will definately be my go-to next time I ferry into Picton.

We stayed two nights at the backpackers because it was too chilly to camp in our tent. We got the dorm for ourselves so it was perfect, super comfy beds and great location to go for a hike in Pelorus Bridge. Thanks to the friendly hosts!

We stayed permanently for 12 months at Waves on a beautiful site, the kitchen was extremely well equipped and both kitchen and ablution blocks were immaculately clean, a pleasure to all who used them. The whole campsite is beautiful, peaceful and quiet. If you want a top spot to relax in get in touch with the owners, Cath, Sheila, Heather or Stuart who will welcome you and make sure you are comfortable. Molly & John

Originally planning to get to Havelock we pulled off the road early at this campsite as it was getting hot in the campervan and we were glad we did! We had not booked but the new owners are making their mark and were very welcoming. Kitchen facilities were definitely some of the best on our three week tour of the country. They were very clean and well stocked.

Stayed here on many an occasions. Best way to break up the drive to Nelson or just put a few miles under your belt off the ferry. Value for money and a top spot-very pretty. Cabin comfortable and friendly owners with Havelock only a few minutes drive away for food. Highly reccomend as a stop before heading down the sounds.

Just 40 mins. from the interisland ferries and easy driving to Blenheim, Havelock, or Nelson this is the place to stay for an overnighter or longer. The cleanliness of the facilities is outstanding and the hosts are very welcoming and helpful. Quiet power sites in the rural setting, along with cabins and backpackers accommodation are all available. Don't miss the opportunity of this well priced place to stay.
