“Too laidback to care?”
Review of Vueling Airlines

Disappointed with: 1) Flight delayed by 55+ minutes - 2) In flight magazine 1 to share between 3 seats - 3) Toilet in front decommissioned for a period by Crew - 4) Menu choice quite limited.

Told at check-in that flight overbooked by 13 so unlikely we would make the flight. At the gate, they were boarding people who had been bumped from earlier flights, so we definitely did not get on our flight. Got onto another flight later in the evening and they gave us information about the compensation we would receive (250 Euros per person) for being denied boarding earlier. Bags then got delayed by more than 2 days just as we were about to return to Canada from 3 week vacation. Now, after following up numerous times as to the status of our compensation, complete radio silence. Told by a European friend they do this to non-EU people as they are easier targets since it's more difficult for non-EU people to collect from them. Very bad business practice and so disappointing to be put through this. Definitely avoid flying Veuling if you can.

Multiple issues with both legs of our roundtrip flight from Orly to Barcelona.

1. Check-in in Paris went smoothly, mild suspicion when the checkin clerk really emphasized keeping the baggage check receipt.
2. We arrive at the beautiful Barcelona airport to find that our luggage has been "lost". What does this mean? 5 different explanations, none of which makes sense. Wait in a long line at Lost Luggage (ppl from multiple flights are here) to be told by a bored guy that the bags will be shipped by end of day "no problem". We get the sense that this has happened before.
3. We get to the hotel & ask the desk to keep a look out for our bag. They tell us that this happens all the time. Our bag comes the next day thankfully.
4. On our return to Paris there was a flight delay, however no one communicated this at the gate. The gate attendant allowed everyone to line up with saying anything, so we remained waiting for almost an hour. No updates were given.
5. When we finally started boarding, it turned out we were not boarding the plane, but a shuttle. We stood in the hot shuttle for another 15mins before moving. Again no communication.
6. We are now de-planing at Orly. Let's see if our bag made it with us...

What can I say, this airline needs a good kick in the behind
Firstly leave us on a bus in the heat for 20 minutes at the terminal.
Get to the plane and people going everywhere to get on the plane.
The cabin crew on this flight were useless and thats praising them.
The plane then had a issue which is understandable and needs to be fixed.
It took ages and its really hot now
No information from the pilot or cabin crew.
After a while there seems to be reluctance to give us all a drink
Over an hour and half late.
Communication is the key.
Interesting the app showed the flight was on time.
This is one airline that is very poor on communication.

    • Seat comfort
    • Customer service (e.g. attitude, care, helpfulness)
    • Legroom
    • In-flight entertainment (WiFi, TV, films)
    • Value for money

We flew from Tel Aviv to Barcelona (stop over) and then to Granada, Spain. The Vueling counter at Tel Aviv airport was unable to cope with the throngs of passengers. It cannot be a new thing that just happened. They simply don't have enough staff. For almost 2 hours, we stood in line for our 5:00 am flight and we did not BUDGE one bit. The line was not moving. There was no line. Just a crowd of people. Finally, other airlines opened up their counters to help Vueling. Once we got our boarding passes, we ran to the gate, only to discover multiple delays. After about another hour delay, we took the bus to the plane, boarded it, then we were unloaded back to the gate; after about another half hour, we went back to the plane on the bus. The bus circled the plane and returned to the airport. Finally, we were taken to the plane again, boarded, took off. When we landed, of course we missed our connecting flight from Barcelona to Granada. No one, NO ONE, could help us determine what to do. Do we try to get our checked luggage first before getting a ticket to Granada? After running around, back out to airport, then back into security, then back out again, we got tickets to Granada, arriving there to find out: no luggage. No luggage for 3 days. Each day we called, waited, we told different things by different agents. One person in our party was told her luggage was located and was now at Granada airport. yet, we never heard from anyone again. When we called the Vueling luggage center at the Granada airport, NO ONE picked up. Delays happen. Lost luggage happens. But it's how an airline handles it. Their staff had NO CLUE. Was not helpful. When we tried to send receipts for reimbursement because we had to purchase clothes, we were told we had to send the receipts by registered mail -- from North America to Europe, costing us almost 20 dollars in postage fee alone. It's ludicrous. They had no system to upload receipts on line.
