“Flight to Barcelona ”
Review of Vueling Airlines

Reviewed 3 weeks ago via mobile

I am a premium traveler of Vueling company and I take at least a flight weekly and usually I get a priority boarding ticket. The flight is quite good because it is a direct flight. I would have given more than 3 points only if Vueling would enforce the rules about luggages. I often don't find place for my trolley because people put everything on the overhead compartment and only trolleys! Flight assistants are usually nice people

My Vueling flight from Barcelona to Gatwick on 18/9/18 finally left after a delay of 5 and a half hours. The passengers had to spend most of this time standing up in three queues at the departure gate (where there was no plane) because the Vueling staff there told us that a message to commence immediate boarding could arrive at any moment. The Vueling staff had no information about the length of the delay, including whether there was a plane for us available in some part of the airport. Half-way through this tedious and tiring delay, immediate boarding was suddenly announced and the passengers like me with priority boarding cards (for which we had paid a supplement) were told to descend some stairs where a bus would be waiting to take us to the plane. The bus arrived 15 minutes later. We then spent a further 40 minutes inside the bus waiting for it to move. Then a Vueling staff member suddenly appeared and told us that we had to return to the gate - but that, because we were already in the bus, regulations prohibited us from doing so by walking back up the stairs! The bus then finally went into action and drove all the priority-boarding passengers for several minutes to some sort of arrivals gate where we were made to go through the security control again and show our boarding cards and passports again before enduring a lengthy walk back to the same departure gate we had left from! There we faced a further 2 hours' waiting with zero information available to the Vueling staff (that was obvious) until they suddenly announced immediate boarding (for the second time) and again by stairs and bus. This time it was reality. What a master class in how not to run an airline!

On June 1, 2018, my travel companion and I were scheduled to fly to Barcelona from Nice on Vueling. The flight was scheduled for 10:20pm. We had a flight to catch in Barcelona the next day, late morning. The Vueling flight was delayed constantly until close to midnight when they posted a cancelled notice by the gate. One man was at the desk downstairs to service a plane full of customers trying to get to Barcelona many with connecting flights the next day. There were virtually no options offered to help the dozens of stranded customers. We had to rent a car for $500.00, and drive all night to Barcelona to catch our flight to Miami. The airlines has been bantering with us and our credit card company for months now and refuses to refund our tickets. So, we lost the several hundred dollars for the ticket price, lost the money for the hotel room we had reserved at the Barcelona airport, and paid $500.00 to drive a car from Avis at the Nice airport to Barcelona in order to catch our morning flight to Miami. Vueling buyer beware!

So we had booked Vueling from 3 destinations in our entire trip to Spain and Portugal.
From Ibiza to Amsterdam, the flight was delayed by almost 8 hours. We were lucky enough to get a flight the same day while some were asked to stay in Ibiza for a day or so.
And my friends had another flight from Lisbon to Amsterdam. The flight was delayed by more than 12 hours. It was damn frustrating. Also, the staff wasn't courteous enough to answer the passengers about the status.
Very disappointing it was.

Our flight from TelAviv to Florence was delayed only half hour. Seats not comfortable. Not enough space to feet. But all its nothing because in Florence we has a BIG surprise: our luggage not arrived with us.
We received our language only after 7 days when we flight back. No any explanation or compensations from Wueling. Its standard "service" from this company.
So NEVER MORE VUELING
