They tell us we are delayed do to weather, but we sit here watching all the other planes leave. We have been here for 3 hours, still not boarding. Yes, it rained for 30mins. Did sunny for 1.5hr, and still nothing. Since it rained for 30mins, they are saying no hotel or meal cards. Really, the weather was not the delay, stop lying to your customers. We see planes leaving . Workers working in the rain. Oh, lighting the is BS too.
On Sept 13th-I was taking my stepson, his wife and daughter to Newark Airport to catch a flight to San Antonio Texas. He had just finished The US Coast Guard Boot Camp in Cape May, NJ. It was a wonderful day and United Airlines managed to ruin that with staff that refused to help us because we arrived a little late. One of the women working by the kiosks handed us a business card and told us to call the 800 to reschedule flight. THE FLIGHT WAS STILL AT THE GATE. She could not manage to stop the conversation she was having with another staff member long enough to help a member of OUR US ARMED FORCES!! She made him and his family miss their flight! The staff member told us United no longer has counter service.
I started looking for other staff to help and that was when another UA staff member took us to the counter (which we were told no longer existed) ZANHIA WHEELER whom was working at the counter was wonderful. She helped us book a flight for the next day. She was very kind and we wanted United to know that! UA had a really lazy staff member working the kiosks on Sept 13!
The last four flights in a row have been delayed. Twice we’ve had to stop for fuel on a nonstop flight. The other two times because of maintenance issues! United lies to their customers with excuses! I’m a premium passenger and will take my business else where. They should be the very last resort for air travel!
Rip off upgrade seat charges 195.00 just for confirmed seat assignment to row 14 after they notified me the day before my travel they had to change my seat to row 26.. rip off checked bag fee 40. Each way.. arrive at airport to find out they changed their checked bag policy & are now “contactless” translated “ do it yourself “…had to take inside, pay & tag myself I will never use United again after 50 years of travel with United. Called for seat refund & told to apply on line.. RIGHT
