With no elite status on United Airlines, I did not receive any perks in terms of seating or boarding. My boarding pass for Group 4 in seat 31C was fine. It was a full flight and luckily my spouse has Premier Gold status and they allowed me to accompany him at the time of boarding in Group 1.
The seats are fine with no outlet to plug thins into, but it did have a video in the back of the seat, which I did not use because I had my own device with downloaded shows.
Overall a good flight, nothing out of the ordinary - just another flight. Keep in mind I have already flown on 85 flights on "the other airline" already this year. You may wonder why I flew United this time then? Simply because the schedule United has for Hartford (Bradley International) and Chicago O'Hare with non-stop flights.
So if the schedule is right and the price is within your budget, United is not a bad airline to choose. Oh, the bathroom on this aircraft (unfortunately I don't recall the make/model) was quite surprisingly roomy compared to some of the other airlines bathrooms.
