Flight from RDU to Newark was on time and uneventful which was fine. Flight to Edinburgh left Newark early and arrived early. The food served for supper was excellent. Return flight from Edinburgh to Newark left on time and arrived on time. Breakfast -- an omelet, sausage and fruit -- was served. I've never had a worse omelet and didn't like the sausage either. My husband ate both his and mine. The flight from Newark to RDU left just a little late which was a blessing. We would have missed it if it had left on time. Going through customs, changing terminals and going back through security took longer than the 1 1/2 hours we had. The flight was uneventful -- which was good. The best thing that United did was to enable us to change our return flights due to Hurricane Florence which was to arrive in Raleigh about the time we were. We did take advantage of this offer and returned on a flight about 3 hours earlier than the original flight.

Great service, wonderful airline for our trip to Seattle. As previously stated although there was a short delay, United promptly communicated the new time and gate change, allowing us sufficient time to board.

Throughout the long trip, each group of airline staff were very considerate and thoughtful to this senior who needed wheelchair assistance and was traveling with a service animal. On ground and in the air, they were kind, professional and physically helpful on United and their connecting sister flight SAS.

Ok, it's not the most luxurious business class but the flight attendants were uniformly utterly professional, attentive, kind, personable. There was an inflight medical issue with one of the passengers that was dealt with calmly and with great courtesy and compassion. United has done itself a lot of disservices over the past year in terms of public relations; but they have some truly great staff who represent the best in American air travel.
