As my review title indicates, our experience was a disaster from moment one: from being told our July 19 flight LX354 was delayed, only to show up at the gate to be told it was canceled; to then receiving an email saying we'd be rebooked automatically on Swiss, only to never have that happen and my having to stand in line for hours to then get rebooked for TWO days later on a different airline; to now struggling for over a month to get a simple form from Swiss Air explaining WHY my flight was cancelled so I can apply for expenses reimbursement from my credit card company. I've spoken with at least 4 customer services reps and sent multiple emails in the mean, and have yet to receive a simple form.
Not to mention our first flight from LHR to GVA featured some of the most abhorrent food my family has ever experienced on a flight. Our son's "kids meal" was a plate of corn with pale, flaccid slices of "meat" piled on top. Our adult meal featured some inedible form of fish slop. All we could do was laugh and push it aside.
I assumed given how on top of things and lovely Switzerland itself is, the airline would be the same. Lesson learned. Never again.
