Review of Swiss International Air Lines [SWISS]

Disappointed. I last flew this segment in November 2022 and back then it was cleaner and some of the comfort details were better (down cushions, Soeder hand lotion and alpine mist in the lavatories). This time the cabin seemed an older version, quite noisy, there were stains everywhere on the carpet and upholstery, the lavatories were not properly cleaned or stocked with the necessary products, there was dirt accumulation in every nook and crany, the cabin crew seemed stressed and annoyed, although fairly professional. The synthetic fibre cushion were much less comfortable than the down one I was used to from past years (flying to LAX and O'Hare). The food was good, and they still have water bottles, fruit (bananas) and candy bars (Kägi) à discretion during the flight. The flight is scheduled such that you could easily sleep the 12 hours through, so a clean environment with little details could make a big difference I think.I was expecting more from Swiss as I live in Switzerland and know what quality standards look and feel like.

Terrible airline with no sense of responsibility. I lost my luggage for the first time in my life during a one-week vacation, and they provided inaccurate tracking information. Their customer service is poorly managed, with staff who don’t have access to any useful resources, and they refuse to connect you with anyone who can actually help. This has been the worst experience ever

Swiss used to be a top airline, but unfortunately the quality is declining. Service is lackluster, sometimes they are friendly, but sometimes they are really rude. And the food, which used to be very good is now really bad. You can tell they try to safe costs…. Hopefully they will realize that quality is important for the premium customers.

LX339 from London Heathrow to Zurich with Swiss Airlines was one of the best flights I took recently. Their business class service was absolutely great! It was not the first time I flew in business class with Swiss (most of the time before the pandemic) but this particular flight in August 2024 is really worth reviewing.
Priority boarding went really smoothly, cabin crew was very friendly and welcoming. Business class seat was pretty spacious (really essential for me as I'm a tall person). Crew was present and attentive offering the assistance. Meal was tasty - it was a salmon, Swiss cheese served with fresh bread as far as I remember. There was also a juice selection as well as tea and a mineral water.
We have arrived in Zurich on time and it's a pity the flight was too short as the service was truly enjoyable.
I highly recommend Swiss (particularly their business class) to everyone and will definitely fly with them again!

Words cannot describe what a horrible airline this is. The staff, the customer service, their policies, everything about it. They should be shut down. I had to change one part of my flight due to a medical situation. I couldn’t find a customer service phone number to contact them only an online chat. The experience chatting was awful i barely got my flight changed. I paid the difference in fare plus fee and was told
I’d receive the new ticket information via email sometime in the next few days. My new flight was 6 days away. The evening of the 5th I tried to check in and was unable to access their website booking manager with my code. It said my flight had been cancelled. I went back on the chat and was told by the representative I was connected with that the ticketing office was late in reissuing my ticket, never did it and so therefore the flight was canceled. So at midnight the night before I am supposed to fly I have no ticket or information about the flight. And also unable to select a seat. I explained that I already rebooked and paid the fees. The representative replied the only option was for me to pay a second time. At this point i honestly thought I had been in a scam. I googled Swiss air and the same site came up. So then I thought maybe I had been hacked and they were asking me to pay again because this sounded crazy to me. The airline refused to issue my ticket. Finally after telling them I thought it was a scam since they were extorting me, they said ok upon further checking we will reissue your ticket. At the check in at the airport I explained the situation of what happened and that I had a medical situation requiring special seat assistance the airline staff refused to assist me unless I paid a large upgrade fee. After all the stress they caused me, having to stay up all night with no ticket and not knowing my information they asked me to pay again. They said to talk to the station manager. When I arrived at the gate I asked for the station manager and it took talking to 4 people and 1 hour later he finally arrived and he did absolutely nothing to assist even though I explained about my medical situation. I will be filing a complaint with this airline and seek compensation. Will avoid flying with them in future. Seeing these reviews confirms it’s not just me. Swiss Air has unethical and maybe even illegal business practices
