Words cannot describe what a horrible airline this is. The staff, the customer service, their policies, everything about it. They should be shut down. I had to change one part of my flight due to a medical situation. I couldn’t find a customer service phone number to contact them only an online chat. The experience chatting was awful i barely got my flight changed. I paid the difference in fare plus fee and was told
I’d receive the new ticket information via email sometime in the next few days. My new flight was 6 days away. The evening of the 5th I tried to check in and was unable to access their website booking manager with my code. It said my flight had been cancelled. I went back on the chat and was told by the representative I was connected with that the ticketing office was late in reissuing my ticket, never did it and so therefore the flight was canceled. So at midnight the night before I am supposed to fly I have no ticket or information about the flight. And also unable to select a seat. I explained that I already rebooked and paid the fees. The representative replied the only option was for me to pay a second time. At this point i honestly thought I had been in a scam. I googled Swiss air and the same site came up. So then I thought maybe I had been hacked and they were asking me to pay again because this sounded crazy to me. The airline refused to issue my ticket. Finally after telling them I thought it was a scam since they were extorting me, they said ok upon further checking we will reissue your ticket. At the check in at the airport I explained the situation of what happened and that I had a medical situation requiring special seat assistance the airline staff refused to assist me unless I paid a large upgrade fee. After all the stress they caused me, having to stay up all night with no ticket and not knowing my information they asked me to pay again. They said to talk to the station manager. When I arrived at the gate I asked for the station manager and it took talking to 4 people and 1 hour later he finally arrived and he did absolutely nothing to assist even though I explained about my medical situation. I will be filing a complaint with this airline and seek compensation. Will avoid flying with them in future. Seeing these reviews confirms it’s not just me. Swiss Air has unethical and maybe even illegal business practices
