SWISS struck out on everything for a business class flyer.
1) Prior to being able to board the flight, they required that you stand in an extra line to have someone check that your passport matched your ticket. What is the purpose of having all of the passengers (economy and business) stand in a common line and then go to their boarding lines? It would have made more sense for the gate agent to make this check for the special (not economy) boarding lines.
2) The food was tasteless and cold. The menu made it seem that we were getting a Michelin star meal. The only thing with flavor was the raspberry that came with the desert.
3) The plane was in poor maintained condition. The carpet at my seat was not even secured to the floor. Where is the Swiss pride?
4) The layout of the business class seats must have been done by someone who never had been on a plane. The row in front of me had one seat, while our row had two seats offset to that single seat. My seat was the only seat in that section that you could not get up with out having the person next to you move. I thought that every airline with any common sense switched to the staggered business class seating. I guess SWISS did not get that memo.
I do not recommend nor will I fly SWISS for a business class again.
