Southwest has its own thing with non assigned seats. If you're traveling with children you can board basically after the first group, for free, which is great. The best part of flying with Southwest is their customer service. Many times both at the airport and over the phone they have always treated their customers with respect.

I fly southwest all the time when I travel long distances. This southwest terminal in FLL international was nice and had tile walls but it didn't have any restaurants or stores near it. We had to walk a distance to get coffee before our flight.

The flight left on time on a sunny warm spring day from Salt Lake City, Utah. Southwest moves people efficiently. Their boarding seems to work smoothly. The flight was full. They offer drinks, peanuts, pretzels etc. There was an accident recently but overall they seem to be doing good. Hope they take are of their maintenance issues

TSA precheck has nothing to do with the quality of your flight.
jeez. it's SWA.
they have greatly expanded the cities flown to.
have great vacation packages.
I just don't like the cattle call.
and everybody rushes the gate.
what happened to "class" in airline flying.
but they are almost always on time.
flight attendants try to be funny.
good reliable stateside airline.
I do like that they don't charge for bags.

The flight itself was a typical awesome Southwest experience. Very friendly crew, pilots, gate, and FAs, even all the passengers seemed like they were having a good day. We left a little late but ended up landing 10 minutes early.
BUT
I haven't flown out of Midway in about a year. I was so disappointed that in at least Concourse B all the charging chairs and bars in the SW gate areas are gone. People were hunting everywhere to find a place to charge. I had to sit on the floor by an outlet, one of the two plugins wasn't working, so I wasn't using it. I bet i had 20 people stop by in 1/2 hour asking if they could use the other outlet. This was the worst decision SW made. It was a big perk, and now it's gone, at least in concourse B. I didn't explore the other concourses but I assume they all got remodeled and they are gone there too.

So don't plan on charging back up at the airport like I did. You will be disappointed.
