I flew Jetstar JQ854 for my holiday at Hamilton Island. I chose this flight as it is the most direct flight from Melbourne to Hamilton Island. Unfortunately, Qantas does not offer direct flights from MEL to HTI, otherwise, I would have flown with you guys and probably avoided this terrible experience.
After a great airport experience, we eventually began boarding on time. And here, the day's flight takes a dramatic turn. Once I got onboard the Airbus A320, the cabin crew started behaving rather oddly. They started questioning me whether I actually purchased this ticket. I showed them over and over again my booking and they kept searching in their ridiculous iPads for some sign so they could kick me off the plane. I don't know if this was due to race or something.
After we were in the air, the crew began the meal service, or should I say "Everything is going to run out Meal Service". The crew literally began the service 10 minutes after takeoff and still managed to arrive at Row 20 ONE HOUR prior to landing. That is an entire 1 HOUR AND 50 MINUTES of slow, incompetent crew.
Once they FINALLY got to my row, I requested the Chicken Wrap. Response: "No, there is none left."
Then I had a look at the menu. Response: "Hurry up, I have other passengers to serve." (less than 20 seconds)
I requested the beef pie. Response: "None left"
I requested the sandwich. Response: "Stop ordering these items. I've already told you we only have (...)" (didn't actually inform me at all)
I requested the Beef Pho. Response: "Ok that would be $8" (instantly leaves me)
Finally, after my countless requests and being constantly rejected VERY RUDELY.
After 20 minutes, of waiting, I asked the crew whether my meal was ready. They said they would check. 5 minutes later, "Sorry we forgot about your meal." WOW! GREAT SERVICE! IT IS LITERALLY YOUR JOB TO SERVE PASSENGERS KINDLY AND *NOT* FORGET ABOUT THEIR MEALS!
This was a disgraceful experience, and I highly recommend you to fly with another airline. AVOID JETSTAR AIRWAYS AT ALL COSTS
