“Free two night stopover in Abu Dhabi is a scam! Terrible customer service”

I booked a business class ticket from Lisbon to Jakarta with a stopover in Abu Dhabi.
I was supposed to get two nights Hotel for free but, from the moment I booked and paid for the ticket online. I never got an answer from them regarding the hotel I would be staying, although I tried to get in contact through message and emails to which I didn’t get any answer..
When I got to Abu Dhabi airport, there was no Hotel booked and I was offered no help, only that I should contact the airline online ( Which was what I tried to do for two months).
I ended up booking a hotel and paying it myself.
I filed a complaint on the 11th of May up to today, 15th of June. I got no answer..
Terrible customer service impossible to get in touch with.

As for the flight itself, everything was much worse than Emirates, a company I use a lot, from the food to the cabin space to the entertainment program.

I was very much disappointed with this Airline and don’t recommend it to anyone.

Hello there, that doesn't sound ideal. We offer a free stopover offer to be booked either while booking your flight or after booking the flight up to 72 hours before the flight departure time if your layover in Abu Dhabi is more than 24 hours. Please send us your complaint reference through our social media channels to look into this for you and assist accordingly. *Kal

Booked the flight for delhi - nairobi in July 2024. The flight was cancelled 3 weeks before flying with no cancellation email sent to us.
Tired of chasing our money for getting the refund. They said refund will be processed after 6months which is ridiculous. We had to pay a heft amount to book new flights last minute and lost so much money and still waiting on the refund.

My original review was responded to by 'Ann' from Etihad, when she assured me they would follow their process, which was to respond within 28 days (despite this involving a significant refund for services which I purchased and they refused to deliver).
Now some SEVEN WEEKS LATER, still no response.
Also (and perhaps conveniently?) none of their means of contact provided on their website appear to work effectively.

This is a classic example of how Indians are treated on flights from India. We are treated like cattle class and packed into a small space like a sardines box. Here is my list of complaints -
1) LEG ROOM - legroom in economy is the worst. India's domestic airlines and buses provide better leg room, its so uncomfortable and exhausting that it makes a 4 hour journey feel like 14hr flight, they have fitted toooo many rows without caring about customers.. all they care for is their money
2) TOILET - being a small aircraft, there is only 1 washroom for all of economy.. and its so bad after so many people using it , its a harassment if you ask someone to use it
3) NO INFLIGHT TV"s - watch on your phone or ipad they say... and they think they are doing us a favor
4) FOOD - the tiny aircraft has no space for flight crew to work , so their mobility is limited.. guess what that does.. food service is so slow that even after a 1hr or 1.30 hours after take off your food may have not arrived, there is only 1 meal, more importantly there is no place to keep the food and drink thanks to the tiny space you have

I will never fly this flight again on my way to Europe or US and I will ensure that my family , friends and colleagues know this. Its an insult if you treat us Indians with pathetic aircrafts.. I'm feeling bad for their CREW also, but they give their fake smiles when we complain and they have no power to say or do anything. They are also treated like slaves ,I bet.
