“American Airlines LYING”
Review of American Airlines

Reviewed 13 July 2024

Pilot was so fatty fatty obese that our airplane couldn't get off the ground and they proceeded to tell us for 3 hours that it was because of lightning…5 other planes took off right when the storm ended. Had us sitting on the plane for an hour after the storm then canceled the flight and many missed their connecting flights.

Drove to TPA for 7:04pm American Airlines flight #228 to DCA / Flight was delayed departing by at least a half hour / After boarding and doors closing, we found out that the DCA to BUF connection was cancelled. That American Airlines flight # was 5241. / Called AA from the plane, spoke with customer service representative who first suggested that we sit in DC for 24 hours to take the 10pm flight the next night. / AA had already canceled the DCA to BUF flight before we took off from Tampa. So, to say it was weather related was a bit ridiculous. That flight was supposed to depart DCA at 10:30pm and arrive in BUF at 11:51pm. / Our flight from TPA to DCA was supposed to be a little over 2 hours, arriving at 9:27pm. We did not make it to DCA until 2am! / She also said that when we get to DCA we should ask a “gate agent” for a “Hotel Voucher”. When we got to DCA they almost laughed at us stating there are no “Hotel Vouchers” and everything is sold out. / We had to spend $240.34 on a Candlewood Suites, Alexandria West, room at the last minute, only getting to sleep in it for 4 hours. / We had to UBER to and from the hotel which cost us $62.07 one way and $41.98 to get back to DCA. /
American Airlines:
Stranded us in DC overnight without even an apology, Provided no accommodation for us, Kept our luggage locked up in a room that apparently no one had the key to, Cost us a whole day of vacation time with family in Buffalo, Cost us $344.39 lodging/transportation costs.

American Airlines had me removed from first class Dublin, Ireland-Philadelphia flight for coughing. Just needed water. Treated me like a criminal. No help finding a hotel no response to my on-line complaint after 2 weeks. Neither I nor my friends will use them again. Also told Travel Agent of my treatment.

I was traveling alone in a wheelchair required senior citizen situation to go to my Grandchild's graduation. I was very surprised of how Michael Hurley took it upon himself to have me checked it and make me as comfortable as possible. I appreciated him so much as I said a senior traveling alone in a wheelchair can be devastating. Thank you, Michael Hurley for all of your help boarding group 9 seat 4C on June 3rd to Charlotte to connect in Tampa. Keep these employees.

Four segments on American Airlines. All on time, friendly service onboard, easy connections in Chicago and DFW.
I liked the free WiFi movies too.
