we have been Citi card platinum members for FOREVER, but now it doesn't seem to matter for airline tickets. you have to pay about 70 dollars per ticket, if you want to pick a seat ahead of your flight.. WHAT??? and no changes. We were in the airport waiting for our connection, and right across the terminal was a non stop going to the same place. Since we had purchased the cheaper "new" economy tickets we couldn't just get on.. even though we hadn't checked any bags. flight was ok, no issues. but no big deal either.

American Airlines was the most disorganized flying experience of my life. They forced people to check their bags because the flight was so full and the airplane was so old that the compartments couldn’t fit a standard carry on. Boarding took over an hour and getting off the plane was the same since people in the front had to climb over others just to get their bags, which had to be put way in the back since there was no room. The flight was delayed (their fault, no weather, no nothing) and ABSOLUTELY NOTHING was done when we missed the connecting flight and could not make it to an important event. Based on my experiences, the staff was unfriendly, unhelpful, and incredibly rude and the overall event was something I wouldn’t wish upon my worst enemy.

I'm convinced that the airlines really do not care about their customer's comfort or flying experience on their planes. Our flight to Quito, Ecuador began in Philadelphia and was routed thought Miami International airport. So we left Miami and are flying to Quito when the beverage cart begins making it's way through the aisle. Miami to Quito is an international leg but for some reason American Airlines doesn't classify it as such, meaning that wine and beer was not available on a complimentary basis. That's BS and reflects a corpoprate attitude of indifference to their customers. The plan also had no working USB ports in our row so that we could recharge our personal electronic devices. What kind of BS is that in the year 2019, when everyone needs this capacity in order to access the in flight entertainment? So put me down as a dissatisfied customer due to this shoddy treatment and totally ill-equipped airplane.

Got both us and our luggage there that is always a big plus leg room was acceptable and flight attendants were friendly

This flight was very comfortable and quiet (due to and early morning flight). The flight attendants were very attentive. I went to sleep as soon as I got onboard.
