Flew from Key West Airport to Barbados via Miami Airport.
Arrived at 5.00am at Key West & all the staff were very helpful & friendly, so impressed that the gift shop in departure lounge was already open then the cafe opend at 6.00am so we were over the moon to get breakfast as we had been up since 3.30am & had a long day in front of us.
Impressed with American Airways, the staff was very happy & pleasant when booking us in & to our relief our luggage was booked in direct to Barbados so we didn’t have to collect it at Miami but was upset that we had our hand luggage taken off us at the gate as they said there was no more room left in the overhead lockers, to find out after boarding that there was still room left
To add insult to injury, my husband realised that they had not given him his boarding pass back from it being checked at the gate in the terminal, that included all our luggage receipts so asked one of the two unfriendliest ever air Hostess if she could ask them to bring it onto the plane before everyone had finished boarding with a rude reply “NO go to the desk in the next airport & ask for another one to be printed”!!
Luckily a lady from Key West ground crew boarded the plane to check everything, we explained to her the problem & could she kindly raidio down to ask them at the desk to bring it on board for us, which she did with no effort at all -Phew we were so greatful.
Was impressed with American Airways, built into the seat in front of you was a holder for your I Phone & a socket to charge your phone
Great smooth flights At least the Air Hostesses were more pleasent than on the first leg.
