A big thank you to Air New Zealand for looking after us when, because of weather conditions, we ended up having five flights cancelled (in both outward and inward journies) and having an unexpected stay in Christchurch. We cannot fault the way we were looked after, communicated with and our problems resolved. They even flew staff (who had to take two flights each) to New Plymouth and flew us to Christchurch when we could not fly to Wellington to then catch a flight to Queenstown.
Very unhelpful. Charged me an extra $50 to fix a minor issue before I got on the plane. Customer service not people oriented. They need more local competitors
What an awful website to book a flight! then they give you a price then make you pay extra for a seat!! Air New Zealand have always been a real con! I fly internationally 4-5 times a year and never use them! so expensive and over rated , they charge what they want like most businesses here in NZ purely because of the lack of competition!
Terrible service, first they staff allowed us to board before the pilots which is severely illegal after the events of 9/11, they then made us sit on the plane for close to an hour before they asked us to leave the aircraft only to sit around for another 30 minutes before being told the flight was cancelled, flight was then delayed by a total of 6 hours extra which completly destroyed any plans I had for the rest of my holiday, the staff in the cafe at the airport were very unprofessional and were skipping orders so people were having to board their flight without yet receiving what they had ordered with no offer of a redund, some of the check in staff were also very unnocomidating towards how people would be feeling in this situation, would not at all recommend to anyone to use this service, Ef Air New Zealand. Ruined my holiday....
