Review of Adria Airways [no longer operating] - CLOSED

having booked Nov 2018 for Aug 20129, it all seemed good, until 16 days before our due flight, the direct flight was cancelled (no explanation). We couldnt get other flights for the same departure date so had to accept to fly the following day. We couldnt get direct flights so accepted flights from Man to Brussels and then Brussels to Ljubljana, but the Brussels to Ljubljana was CANCELLED. We then had to fly from Brussels to Frankfurt, ended up staying over night because the next flight to Ljubjana was CANCELLED. We eventually flew to Ljubjana but lost 2 1/2 days, 2 nights of our planned holliday. Whilst we were in Frankfurt we were advised by other travellers and checking in staff that Adria Airlines have been bought out twice and the new owners dont two hoots. So anyone flying with them I feel sorry for you.

Upon checking out duty free and reaching our gate in time, we were vaguely notified that our flight is delayed for at least 1 hour. We had no idea when our new departure time would be, we weren't offered any meals or drinks. Adria Airways' web site would claim for about 1 hour after our supposed departure time that we were on time, even though we were still grounded at the airport. Finally, web site changed and predicted our departure with a 3 hour delay. We still received no information at the airport.
With a 3-hour delay, we finally started boarding. Upon reaching the aircraft, we were shocked. The bus droped us off at an old looking, decayed aircraft with a sign WDL Aviation. We took off about 3 hours and 10 minutes later than we were supposed to. I was really lucky we made it to our home country alive.
When we tried to make a compensation claim, Adria Airways insisted our delay was 2 hours and 55 minutes, which is 5 minutes short of the required time to be compensated.
Adria Airways, never again!

They cancelled our flight in both ways because they haven’t received some paperwork on time. We waited from 23:00 till 07:00. They destroyed my luggage, and said that they are not responsible for that. Really bad company.

Two flights on Adria Airways were canceled, one for which we received no notice. We arrived in Munich to discover that our flight to Ljubljana had been canceled and that Adria had no staff in Munich. Thankfully, a friendly and skilled Lufthansa agent booked us on a flight four hours later. That flight departed 50 minutes late. A second flight, Ljubljana to Sofia, was canceled two days before we departed the US. A frantic email to Adria in Slovenia resulted in an option just hours before we left for the airport. Please note that Adria has no US presence that we could ever find, so phone calls are to Slovenia and expensive.

I am making around 30return trips in a year. Never had such a bad experience, such unpolite service.
We were supposed to fly from Podgorica via Ljubljana to Frankfurt (departure 26.08.2019, you can easly fing the flight and personnel responsible).
around 2 days before departure we received an email stating we had to be 1 hour before at the airport because they ´decided to combine the flight with Skopje! noone cares about your plans just be there earlier.
The flights delayed both in Podgorica and skopje and disaster in Ljubljana, due to technical reasons (they had to change three tires, air conditioning was not working etc.). In Ljubljana all passangers were treated bad and left alone. late evening. No hotels arranged no transfers. Personnel at the airport extremly unpolite, including loughing to your face! Btw. they even took a police officer (btw poor boy) to the gate where we were waiting for hours before being finaly infromed the flight was cancelled.
Final outcome- we came one day later, with extremly bad customer service.
I will NEVER EVER use this airline and also send official claim to the headquaters with all details,
