General Nuqui/Chocó questions

Hi-

We are thinking of visiting the Nuqui area in late March and seeking any insight:

Weather- I know this is one of the rainiest areas of the world, but March is in the ‘drier’ season I understand. But what does that mean? Is rain still more likely than sun? Does it generally rain for long periods, or do showers just pass through a lot?

Safety- Choco is under a level 4 travel advisory (do not travel) but Nuqui is specifically excluded. Is Nuqui simply far away from the dangerous areas, or is it simply that nothing has happened there but has in other places nearby?

Flights- any suggestions? I heard the airport was closed for awhile but is now open?

Thanks!

What in the world is AeroNuquia? Never heard of it and neither has Google. To my knowledge the only way to Nuquí is Satena or a charter company from Pereira whose name I can't recall.

That isn't an airline, it's a travel agency (see under "Nosotros") and it looks like they aggregate people for charter flights.

No one suggested it was an airline except you.

But on their website you can book tickets for scheduled flights and on their Facebook page they refer to their ‘comfortable aircraft’, not to mention that hotels and lodges in the Nuqui area offer them as a suggested carrier to the area.

Call it what you want, they are a provider of air transport to the area.

We are in El Valle near Baila Solano. Flew in from Medellín with ADA. This is a beautiful place, seems quite safe so far... three more days to go !
