which trip choose 2 days 1 night

As in the topic we have time for trip 2 days 1 night in colca canyon... we have no idea what to choose. We want to see as much as possible. Probably we will go with carlitostour

they have those options:

carlitostours.com/index.php/arequipa/convent…

carlitostours.com/index.php/arequipa/trekkin…

carlitostours.com/index.php/arequipa/convent…

We think that we will choose trekking with homestay - but we are afraid that we will miss something important in comparision to those other tours. How do You think ? What would You recommend ?

Which tour did you end up taking? What did you think of it? My husband and I are looking at similar options, including the Carlitos trekking 2 day/1 night. Our hotel in Arequipa has a similar option for a similar price and we are having a hard time choosing and would love to hear what you thought.

It all depends on whether you want to hike down into the canyon (and back up!) or not. The highlight for us was our three day trek in the canyon from Cabanaconde (we went on our own). If you like to hike you will love it. Very majestic. So if you like that you would go for link number 2 in the original post. You would still get to see the Cruz del Condor as well (see below) and stop at a few villages and viewpoints.

Link number 1 has no trekking/hiking (you don't go to Cabanaconde and you don't hike in the canyon) but visits more villages in the Colca Valley and also the Cruz del Condor (viewpoint of the canyon and a chance to see condors).

Link number 3 is very similar to 1 but also goes to Cabanaconde. Cabanaconde is the start point for treks into the canyon. This tour does not have hiking in the canyon but does have walks to viewpoints of the canyon in Cabanaconde.

The 2 day trek is amazing and we found it absolutely worth it going down the canyon and experiencing the villages down the canyon that you cannot just drive to. We wrote up some of our experiences here: https:/…
