self-shucking oyster stands in bluff?

Hello all,

So in the US, many oyster places offer a pack of raw, fresh, oysters for people to take home so they can shuck themselves. I know it is a bit strange, but we actually enjoy the experience. Especially if we can get a bottle of wine, find a spot by the sea, and enjoy them at our pace. Is there a place like that in Bluff? Or we have to go to restaurants to enjoy fresh oysters on the half shell? We will be there during mid April, so should be in the season. Thank you!

I don't know about Bluff or Invercargill but try one of the fishmongers in town. Harbour Fish in Queenstown had unshucked oysters in the past season.

I'd be surprised if you can't find some in Bluff or Invercargil.

While such pastimes are not that common it's not rare either.
